Community Grants Scheme (CGS): Round Two 2009

The second round of funding of CGS for 2009 is now open.

Community based groups including local interest groups, environmental groups, and individuals are encouraged to apply for support.

Previous CGS funded projects have:

• assisted in the purchase of equipment to help improve and expand existing successful community recycling centres, and also training to volunteers through workshops.
• showcased artworks constructed from materials commonly disposed to landfill, enabling communities to understand the value of waste as a resource.
• educated Indigenous communities about the importance of responsible waste disposal and recycling, through workshops, community cleanups and the provision of recycling trailers for ongoing sustainable recycling.

Applications must be received by 5pm Friday 25th September 2009.
No late submissions will be accepted.
