Recovery
What does it mean?
Waste recovery is the treatment and management of waste for re-use through recycling and reprocessing. It is the second of three foundation waste management principles; Prevention, Recovery and Disposal.
By focusing on all three principles we enable the management of wastes on a whole of lifecycle basis, while respecting the changing needs of society as a whole.
