International Composting Awareness Week (ICAW) 2010:

Sunday 1st May - Saturday 7th May 2010.

The theme for ICAW 2010 was "Compost, Help Scrap Carbon Pollution". The International Composting Awareness (ICAW) 2010 focusing on how households can divert their organic waste into home composting and worm farming systems to produce nutrient rich stabilized organic matter, which can be used to benefit household gardens.
Several workshops on topics relating to home composting, worm farming and sustainable gardens occurred within Western Australia, such as how to set up a worm farm, composting for plant health and using compost with confidence in open space, sportsfield and roadside applications.
