On the 15 July 2009, the Environment Protection Heritage Council (EPHC) released the Television and Computer Product Stewardship consultation package for public comment. This package is available at the following link: http://www.ephc.gov.au/taxonomy/term/51.
The Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) in the package presents the results of a cost benefit analysis of options for managing end-of-life televisions and computers, compared to a business as usual case. The public consultation process will assist in determining a preferred option.
The primary focus of the meeting is to explain the end of life options and to receive feedback in relation to this on the day. The working group will also be holding a limited number of 25 minute one-on-one meetings with stakeholders on the day prior to the meeting. If you wish to secure such a meeting for your organisation please indicate this in your RSVP email. Talks will be booked on a first come first serve basis.
RSVP by email to raymond.york@dec.wa.gov.au or phone 08 6467 5309 by 4pm Wednesday 29th July 2009
